Nowadays many plumbers do not use plaster which is designed for pipes - most use PU foam. This creates a big problem because when unscrewing an angle valve, stress is created and naturally the weld cracks because there is nothing to hold it. That is why pipes are plastered - when plaster is applied, it holds the end fitting firmly so you can unscrew and screw on whatever you want as many times as you want without any damage. This is a very important thing.
All praise for the craftsman who always arrives on time when you need him and delivers quality work.
